Mark Gonzales

The Bainbridge Decatur County Recreation Authority would like to introduce Mark Gonzales, our new Director of Racquets.

Mark has over two decades of playing and coaching experience on multiple levels, and he brings a high level of skill and expertise to our program. His extensive knowledge provides an atmosphere that is positive and enables athletes to consistently improve and to have continued success.

Mark’s love of tennis began at eleven years old and he progressed to play NCAA Division II tennis at Tarleton State University. After completing his degree, he became a high school tennis head coach where he was named the Texas High School Coach of the Year in 2000. After years of teaching and coaching on the high school level, Mark started a new career path when he created his own tennis academy in San Marcos, Texas. He has owned and managed Central Texas Tennis Academy since 2005. Mark was awarded a key to the city of San Marcos, Texas, for his contributions to the development of tennis.
